Taylor Scholarships and Exchange

テイラー記念奨学金

The Fund provides financial assistance to Ishinomaki high school graduates to

attend Sendai YMCA College. The first five scholarship students began their college education in hotel or confectionary studies in April, 2013.

宮城県仙台市YMCA College 入学する石巻の高校卒業生を対象に支援しています。2013年4月からこの育英基金を受けた最初の5名の学生達は、ホテル学科、パティシエベーカリーコースを受講しています。

The YMCA of Tokyo, Sendai, Japan and Richmond Youth Exchange Program started with seven Ishinomaki students from three of the Junior High Schools in which Taylor taught visiting Washington and Richmond for home stays in August, 2012.

東京都、仙台市のYMCAとリッチモンドの青少年交流プログラムによりテイラーが教鞭とっていた石巻市の3つの中学校から生徒7名が、2012年8月にプログラム初参加、ワシントンとリッチモンドを訪問し、ホームステイを経験しました。

JET Micro Grants

JET マイクロ基金

The Fund provides financial support to enhance English language and foreign culture programs initiated by Miyagi/Sendai JET (MAJET) programme participants. This program empowers JETs to go beyond the classroom to be active participants and leaders in their schools and communities.

宮城、仙台JET プログラム参加者によって実施されている外国文化紹介プログラム並びに英語教育を充実させるための支援です。
この支援を受ける事により、教室内にとどまるだけで無く、課外活動並びに地域コミュニティに積極的に参加することにより、学校内だけでのリーダーではなくコミュニティー内でもリーダーとしての参加が可能になります。

One grant sponsored the Sendai Comic-Con which resulted in over 760 Sendai Junior High school students from more than 30 schools creating and entering their English comic strips.

宮城県仙台市で開催された仙台コミック.コンを支援、30もの中学校から760名以上の生徒達は英語漫画コンテストに応募しました。

Smiles and Dreams: Tohoku Kids Project

笑顔と夢：東北キッズプロジェクト

The Taylor Anderson Memorial Fund provides long-term support for orphans in Tohoku. Taylor’s fund supports the Asahigaoku Gakuen orphanage in Kessenuma. Each year since 2011, children have attended English Adventure Camp in August and enjoyed the Christmas Wish program which provides personalized presents for each child and a Christmas dinner celebration.

テイラーアンダーソン記念基金は東北災害孤児に長期に渡って支援をして行きます。
テイラー基金は宮城県気仙沼市の旭が丘学園児童家庭支援センターを支援しています。
この支援活動は2011年から始まり、毎年8月には児童をアドヴェンチャーキャンプに参加させています。又、クリスマス.ウイッシュ事業による児童の要望に応じてクリスマスプレゼントが贈られています。

Taylor Anderson Reading Corners

テイラー文庫

Taylor’s fund has placed books in 29 schools and the Kessenuma Community Center which teaches “Taylor English Classes”. Reading inspired Taylor to live her dreams and her family hopes these books and computer software will inspire her students to find and live theirs.

This project is supported by Project Yui, which coordinates the installations of these books.

テイラー基金は、２９校、テイラー英会話のクラスを実施している気仙沼コミュニティーセンターにテイラー文庫を設置しました。テイラーは愛読していた本から、夢を抱くこと、その夢に向かって生きるという事に強い関心を見出していました。
遺族はこの文庫に収められている本、パソコン.ソフトから学生達は自分達の希望と夢に向かって生きる生きがいをテイラーのように見出して欲しいと願っています。
このプロジェクトは本の配布を調整している団体、「プロジェクトゆい」と協力しています。
